Thefilmtakesaveryusefulapproachtoexaminingthesizeoftheuniverse,fromtinysub-atomicparticlestothevastnessofthewholeuniverse.(Fortunately,whenGodcreatedtheUniversehehaddispatchedafewangelswithvideocamerasatdifferentvantagepointssowegettoseeactualfootagefromseveralbillionyearsago.)ThefilmstartsinVenice,wherethediscoveryofthetelescopeoriginated,andusesaone-meterhoopasareferencepoint,thengraduallygoeslargerbypowersof10,e.g.10meters,100,1000,etcuntilwecanseethewholeuniverse.Thenittakestheoppositejourney,goingsmallerbypowersof10untilbeseeinsidesub-atomicparticles. Thestoryiswell-wovenwithbeautifuleffectscreatedespeciallyforthisfilm.Itisentertainingandeducationalatthesametime.Allof"oldsters"canenjoyitforthescientifichistorywearealreadyfamiliarwith,andallthe"youngsters"canenjoyitfortheeducationalsupplementitprovides.Overallamasterfulfilm.
