Usingarchivalfootageanddramaticre-enactments,thisdocumentarydealswiththeimmediateaftermathofthe1918armisticethatbroughtWorldWarItoanend.FromJanuarytoJuly1919,theParisPeaceConferencedealtnotonlywithissuesrelatedtoGermanybutwiththethornyissueofnationalboundariesinEurope,theMiddleEastandAsia.FromthisconferenceemergedYugoslaviaandCzechoslovakia;theannexationofpartsofGermanybyothercountries;thecreationofIraq;andthetransferofGermancoloniesinAfricaandChinatonewcolonialmasters.ItalsoledtothecreationoftheLeagueofNations,championedbyPresidentWoodrowWilsonbutwhichtheUSneverjoined.Whentheyfinallydealtwiththeissueofwarreparations,theyimposedapaymentsscheduleonGermanythatmanybelieveprovidedtheunderpinningsofWorldWarII.
