DashAkolisgreatlyrespectedinShirazasanhonorablemanwhohaslosthisfamily'smoneythroughhelpinghisfriends.Hehasanenemy,however,namedKakaRostam,ameanandspitefulperson.DashAkol,whoisinhisforties,fallsinlovewithMarjan,daughterofthelateHajiSamad,forwhoseestateheistheexecutor.Buthekeepshislovesecret.OnedayasuitorasksforMarjan'shand,andDashAkolconsidersitagainsthiscodeofhonortorefuse.Onthenightofthewedding,DashAkolhandsoverresponsibilityforthefamilytothebridegroom.Asheisleavingthehouse,however,KakaRostamiswaitingforhimandafightensues.KakaRostamstabshimintheback,butDashAkolsucceedsinkillinghim.Onhisdeathbed,DashAkolsendshisparrottoMarjanwiththeconfessionoflovehehastaughtit.
